The Immediate need assessed is that of huge 30X40 plastic sheet (called Barka) - 2 per family and at least 2 blankets. The total cost would come to around Rs.1600/- per family.
The following items are useful at this time: Food Items:Rice, Dal, Cooking oil, Sugar Non-food Items:Soaps (anti-bacterial), Slippers, Blankets (in good condition), plates and glasses.
Provisions for food and clothing are being supplied as per the needs in the following places:
Nagula Dinne village in Kurnool district, AP (one of the worst affected villages in the area)
2 shelters in Weepangandla mandal in Mahabubnagar district, AP Potnal, a village in Manavi Taluka, Raichur district, Karnataka.

We had collected woolens / funds for blankets for distribution to the people affected by cold wave in Delhi. Its was heartening to see a good response at such a short notice which enabled us to help those suffering due to severe cold wave gripping Delhi.
Kashmir Earthquake: Live from the scene by Riputapan
Within an year of the Tsunami disaster in the south, the Earthquake shook the northern part of India with death toll close to 1400. And with Kashmir being a sensitive area for more than a decade now, not many NGOs have come forward to participate actively in the relief / rehabilitation operations.
India is reeling under floods this monsoons. Nearly a hundred people are dead and several millions affected in Bihar. AID has received an urgent proposal to help with the flood relief by way of providing boats. The effort is being coordinated by Kamayani and Ashish - AID volunteers from Milwaukee who have returned to Bihar.
We are working with BTS and Mukti in Sunderban areas. People need drinking water, food, shelter, medicines, clothes. There's a lot to be done in those areas and a lot of other areas are yet to be reached. At this time we need your help and support urgently.
