Be the change you want to see in the world - Gandhiji

Association for India's Development (AID) is a worldwide volunteer-driven movement. AID started in University of Maryland at College Park in 1991 when some graduate students of Indian origin decided to make a difference to lives of unpriviliged sections of society in India. Since then, the movement has spread to more than 50 universities in the US and India. Over the past years AID has undertaken numerous projects across the length and breadth of the country.
Delhi is home to most of the central government machinery and therefore a chapter in Delhi is not only strategically important but also important for the growth and effectiveness of the movement.

AID Delhi also aims to act as a conduit between different AID projects and Delhi based technical organizations like IIT Delhi, Center for Science and Environment, Development Alternatives etc. essentially organizations that have excelled in one or many issues related to holistic development.

At Delhi, we are presently working on education, empowerment, equality and environment based projects. For more information about AID or to know more about AID Delhi projects, please mail us or contact any of the AID Delhi volunteers.
